Catering at The Merchant Taylors Hall – A Unique Venue within the City Walls of York
Standing in the Shadow of York’s City wall The Merchant Taylors Hall, dates back to the 14th Century, lying just north of Aldwark in the City of York, the Hall is one of the most remarkable memorials to the city’s medieval past.
The magnificent main Hall is spanned by a fine medieval roof exposed beams and carvings, which makes the Hall an excellent venue for receptions, weddings, dinners, meetings, corporate and a variety of other events.
The Hall is licensed for civil ceremonies, private and corporate events with a capacity of up to 150 seated for a reception while the small Hall has a capacity of 45 persons. The Halls age and character make this a warm and welcoming venue whilst the high and open ceilings give a great sense of space.
All aspects of events at the Hall are managed by York based Poppy Caterers offering much more than simple providing our delicious and bespoke menus, we can manage your whole event, making sure you and your guest experience is always a memorable one.
Lawn gardens to the front of the Hall offer a unique backdrop for drinks and photographs.
