Catering FAQ

Do you only supply the catering?
No. We can supply champagne & wines, waiting staff, glasses, crockery, table linen and marquees, if you require, from Poppy Marquees.

Do you charge VAT?
Yes. We are VAT registered, therefore in accordance with the HM Customs and Excise regulations we must charge VAT on Hot Food.

Can you caterer for vegetarians or any special dietary requirements?
Yes. We can accommodate any catering requirements; we are fully trained, City and Guild Qualified. We work very closely with our customers to ensure we meet all their catering needs.

Can we have our favourite family dish on the menu?
Yes. Our qualified caterers will design a menu around both your taste and budget.

Can you hire the catering and marquee together?
Yes. You can hire our catering service as well as a marquee; we are very flexible in our approach to our customer's needs and requirements.

Are you qualified in Food Safety?
Yes. We hold an Advance Food Hygiene Certificate; all our staff holds a Basic Food Handlers Certificate.

Do you only have standard menus?
No. All our menus are designed around your tastes and requirements. However, you can see some sample menus on this website.

Does Poppy Caterers have insurance cover?
Yes. Poppy Caterers are insured for £5 million public liability; please see our terms and conditions.
